Role summary:
As DX grow the business and develop new services, we aim to maximise the combined value of our Divisions and build a flexible operating model which supports interoperability to efficiently offer the best possible service to our customers while ensuring control and consistency and minimising overall cost.
Based on quantitative and qualitative analysis, Network Planning sets the direction for network operations including operating footprint, assets, routing, systems, automation, planning, tracking and reporting.
Within this small team, the Strategic Project Analyst has a key role, leading individual pieces of analysis and developing tools to answer key business questions, inform directional decisions and support strategic planning and implementation. This includes data collection and high-level modelling of operations cost and capacity to evaluate strategic options and support network planning, as well as detailed modelling and tool development to support local planning and implementation.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver specific pieces of analysis as directed by the Network Planning Director
- Document elements of the current operating model and proposed options
- Collect and validate high-level and detailed cost and operational data
- Conduct quantitative analysis to compare strategic options
- Build tools to support network planning
- Engage with relevant stakeholders to validate model conclusions and ensure any recommendations are realistic
- Provide analytical support to localised trials to test, prove and refine recommendations
- Liaise with IT to ensure alignment of systems requirements
- Maintain relevant benchmarks and best practices to guide and inform future design projects
- Contribute to blue-sky thinking and idea generation and prioritisation

Knowledge, Skills and experience
Must Have
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills. Must be able to build excel models to evaluate financial and operational impact of options
- Experienced in data collection and analysis.
- Familiar with end-to-end logistics processes and cost, capacity and productivity drivers, including Collection and Delivery, Transport and Under-the-roof activities
- Strong communication skills, able to focus on key messages and explain complex concepts in an understandable way
- Familiarity with operational reporting metrics and dashboards
Nice to have
- Experience in building business cases for operational improvements and investment cases

Role summary:
DX Warehouse Operatives are responsible to ensure the safe and efficient unloading and loading of freight from vehicles into, and from the site. They will also support the delivery operation to ensure the correct freight is loaded to complete the delivery routes.
Key responsibilities:
- Represent DX in a professional manner at all times
- Follow all aspects of DX Manual Handling and safe working policies, including the correct use of all PPE
- Observe and adhere to all DX procedures and policies at all times
- Handle all freight with care and attention
- Access and egress vehicles using the correct means
- Use the correct equipment and methods for handling and moving all freight
- Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely prior to leaving the site
- Report all damages immediately to your line manager
- Ensure all freight being loaded or unloaded matches relevant paperwork / scanner information
- Ensure that customers freight is transported, stored safely and treated with respect
- Ensure the security of freight and company assets by reporting any suspicious activity to your line manager or the security team
- Ensure the warehouse is kept tidy and H&S issues are reported immediately

Role summary:
To supervise the day to day operations on site including people management, warehousing, traffic and admin operations. To deputise for the Contract / Operations Manager where required. Supervise all aspects of the contracts service centre ensuring the achievement of the contracts KPI’s as set out by both company and the customer. To ensure that all site operations are completed escalating issues where necessary.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and co-ordinate the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner to achieve your team objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs),
- To ensure all warehousing activities are undertaken in line with the Operations Manual and service centre working instructions as applicable.
- Ensure efficient planning of resource to ensure the operation is undertaken in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
- To ensure all vehicles are loaded and unloaded safely and correctly and within specified time limits
- To ensure warehouse operatives complete loading and unloading documentation on time and in full.
- Ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space allocation, stock transfer and dealing with non-confirming product.
- Responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product and service within the Warehouse is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer.
Essential criteria for this role
- Previous experience in the logistics or distribution industry
