Role summary:
To assist and support the Branch Manager in the daily running of the Branch and to deputise in their absence. A key “hands on “role supporting the Branch Manager in all day to day activities in the Branch. Ensuring a strict security regime for physical security (CCTV, Premises etc.) Ensuring the safety and security of all items and employees in the depot.
Key responsibilities
- To assist in organising the day-to-day operation of secure deliveries/mail
- Scanning of mail and organising of effective deliveries.
- Recruiting and training employees and couriers
- Briefing staff and maximizing ‘first time deliveries’, whilst minimizing investigations
- To deputise in the Branch Manager’s absence.
- Reporting on various performance aspects of the branch
- There may be a need to drive company vehicles (subject to company approval
- To perform any other duty as reasonably requested by a Senior Manager
Essential criteria for this role
- Previous experience in the logistics or distribution industry
